Flax Seeds vs Chia Seeds

With all the nutrients that come from chia seeds, these seeds help in the overall development of the body. Chia seeds are also used recognized by its weight loss ability. It absorbs water and becomes gel-like, suppressing hunger. Chia seeds can be eaten raw or can be mixed in other food like bread, oatmeal, cereal, puddings, and even drinks. One comparison between the two is that flax seeds contain about the same amount of Omega 3 fatty acids. Flax seeds also have more minerals such as iron, manganese, and thiamin. Another key comparison is the antioxidant content of the seeds. Chia seeds contain more antioxidants than flax seeds. The fat content are also lower in chia seeds as compared to flax seeds. In summary, the differences between flax seeds and chia seeds are generally on the amount or level of nutrient content.
